“It’s a beautiful day and I can’t stop myself from smiling!” If you’re a Bublé fan like I am, then you know what I’m talking about. However, I’m not talking about a break up like he is. It was simply just a beautiful day today. It’s finally starting to warm up in Melbourne and it’s about time! I do love rugging up and wearing coats, jeans etc… but I love being able to wear a t-shirt and jeans or a top and skirt when going out! This outfit takes you from the office to after-work drinks or out for dinner after. Is there anything wrong with wearing all black? I don’t think so. Some people can call you gothic or bland, but I believe it’s the way you style your clothing. I could easily make myself look gothic by adding a darker shade of lipstick and doc marten’s but that just isn’t who I am at all!
Here I am wearing:
Top: Sportsgirl Baroque Embossed Top
Skirt: Zara Skort
Vest: Sportsgirl Baroque Embossed Vest
Shoes: Mollini Assassin Heel
Bag: Sportsgirl Bag
Rings: Sportsgirl & With Love Kirsten
Talking about lipstick… It’s important to make sure the lipstick colour you have chosen complements your skin colour and hair colour. For fair or light skin (like mine), pink and red shades complement your skin the best. I am a fan of the darker purple shades, but it does make your skin look even lighter and a bit ghostly. Depending on my makeup, I can sometimes pull it off. Red is definitely my favourite colour! However, if you have olive skin it really benefits from an orange or nude colour! The orange picks up on your olive skin tone and I think looks fabulous especially with brown hair. Lipstick is a tricky one because it has to match your skin tone as well as your hair colour. Orange is certainly more flattering for brunettes, whereas pink is more flattering for blondes. If you have medium to dark skin, you can wear almost any colour you want! All bright colours look absolutely wonderful on darker skin and I think they make your smile pop! There is so many different hues that go with different skin tones and hair colours so it’s important to do a little research before you waste money on a lipstick that you think looks awesome but when you try it you just think, ‘why would did I waste my money on that?’ If I’ve got you thinking now about which shade is best for you; you can go to the Cosmopolitan website HERE that has heaps of beauty advice!! The link will bring you to a page about which lipstick is best for your skin tone and at the end you should see options for brunettes and blondes!
These are my favourite shades at the moment!
