TOP: Country Road – $50  // JEANS: Cotton On – $15 // SHOES: Rubi Shoes – $10

Every now and then, I don’t have the energy to wear heels and dress up – it’s certainly rare, but it does happen. This is my outfit to describe exactly how I feel today. Ripped jeans, flats and a cosy knit with some pretty cool detail. It’s getting absolutely freezing here in Melbourne and I’m finding myself buying heaps more items for the cooler months!

As it’s coming up to winter, I want to share my tricks of how to make all the summer clothes left in store work for winter and how to find the hidden treasures! The key to factory outlet shopping is going at the right time of the year. I always find myself popping into Country Road at Uni Hill FO because they have the best knits in town at an affordable price! They actually have quite a few in at the moment so it’s a great idea to make the most of it! If I want to invest in a good quality knit but don’t want to break the bank – Uni Hill FO Country Road is my go-to! I scored this awesome knit for $50. I believe it was originally sold for $150 in stores so saving a $100 isn’t too bad, is it? The knit is 37% wool, 22% cotton, 20% nylon, 15% viscose, 3% angora and 3% cashmere – this is a recipe for a beautiful knit that will last forever! There’s nothing I can’t stand more than buying a crappy quality knit that’s made of acrylics and will get holes in it and not keep me warm. I’m all for spending extra money for a wool, cashmere & angora knit as I don’t need to wear as many layers! It’s completely worth it a few years down the track and I can’t complain when I only had to spend $50. There’s quite a few racks at the Uni Hill FO store so it’s important to go through every single rack because people will hide their favourite pieces somewhere if they want to decide whether or not they want to get it (I did that with this knit actually!).

Next on the list is the MASSIVE Cotton On store! There is so much available and this is the perfect place to stock up on basics for winter! They’ve got a massive range of denim on sale and it just so happened I was looking for a pair of black, ripped jeans as well.. How can I pass them up for $15? They go with absolutely everything and will last for the next few seasons. They’ve got a wide variety of blue, white and black denim and I think these are the key pieces in my wardrobe for winter! I would almost buy a couple of pairs of these jeans just because they’re so so cheap! This Cotton On Megastore has a wide selection of incredibly cheap footwear as well. I needed some white to brighten this look and found the perfect pair of espadrilles for $10.

Uni Hill FO is incredible at the moment and only getting better with more stores opening over the next few months!

Uni Hill is open everyday of the week from 10am-6pm and features stores like Mossman, Tony Bianco, Seed Heritage, Witchery, Nike, Adidas, Vans, Industrie and many many more.
