JUMPER: C/MEO Collective // JEANS: C/MEO Collective // SHOES: Skin Shoes
You guys know that I love to keep things simple when I put my outfits together and it couldn’t get any simpler than this. I’ve taken comfort and warmth to the next level with these wicked C/MEO Collective pieces from the Fashion Bunker. The Fashion Bunker is honestly Australian Fashion Labels heaven with new collections being dropped every few weeks; it genuinely makes it a little hard to save.
I thought I’d share two pieces that go so perfectly hand in hand yet can be used absolutely every day as individual pieces. I’ll start off with saying how incredible this knit is! It’s hard not to wear it every day but luckily camel and grey just don’t go together in my opinion, so my love of camel and grey get equal amounts of days each week. I had my eye on this knit and after a week of thinking endless about it, I had to make it mine. The Fashion Bunker regularly has sales of at least 20% off so I waited for the moment and this jumper became mine. It goes with so many things in my wardrobe and I can’t get over the asymmetric hem as it allows more body to be shown, rather than being hidden by an oversized knit that is not flattering for my shape. Talking about flattering – drop crotch pants aren’t the most flattering things in the world so my key is to wear something like this knit here or a t-shirt than I can tuck in. I am so glad that I bought a smaller size in these because they are quite oversized and this XXS can easily fit an 8! It’s definitely an adjustment wearing drop crotch jeans when you’ve worn skinny jeans all your life but there’s something so edgy about them that I love. The second key to wearing these pants with such a small frame is to show off skin above the waist line and below the ankle line. These pants will make me look shorter than ever if I don’t show any skin between my shoe and the pant so it’s so important that I do that! There are the smallest heel I’ve got, but it’s just enough to make sure that I elongate the body.
I am obsessed with buying the most versatile pieces from The Fashion Bunker. It’s important to stick to a clean colour palette of black, white and other neutrals like grey, camel and blue that you always find hanging around. Other colours date and will go in and out of trend watch every few months! These colours allow for you to keep them in your closet for a while. I think these are two of my favourites at the moment and I can see them hanging around in my wardrobe for a very, very long time!
PS. How amazing is the bambi print on these Skin Shoes? They sit on my shelves at the end of the bed and I just think about when I can wear them with my next outfit!
