So, part two of my business series covers how I like to break the typical “business attire” rules…
When we all think of business, we think of black. I covered that section in my last post but I wanted to change things up a bit. I think it’s really important to come up with new ideas for the office. Don’t get me wrong, I outfit repeat a lot but, I don’t really think it’s a problem – it doesn’t bother me. The key to getting away with outfit repeating is to pick pieces that are versatile. This way you can wear the same thing twice in a week but change up one piece and it’s just like a new outfit! I think that each of these pieces can be tweaked in so many different ways to create beautiful outfit options for work.
It doesn’t matter if it’s not summer and white isn’t what you’d normally go for. I think that this is a great way to be professional, classy and chic all throughout the year. Wearing all black every day can get a little boring. I think that inviting some white and nude tones into your everyday wardrobe is something that will add a freshness to your wardrobe that you haven’t had before! I can definitely admit that this outfit isn’t practical for the freezing temperatures here in Australia at the moment but that’s where a trusty coat like the one from my last post will get you from the car to your office or from the station to your office and back. Once you are in the office, you can reveal a clean, polished outfit that will impress at any meeting. For those in the northern hemisphere, this look is ready to go!
I am a massive fan of these Lincoln heels dropping this month by Skin Shoes. I say all the time that particular shoes are comfy but these are one of the best I’ve tried on! They have a great amount of padding and the single-sole allows them to be perfect for the office and for the weekend.
Would you wear neutral tones to the office?
