DRESS: The Great Beyond // JACKET: Dotti – (oldie but a goodie) // HAT: Kookai

Who would have thought that investing in a bamboo piece of clothing would be such a great idea? It’s clear that the fashion industry is ruining earth one step at a time and making that tiny little change to let earth live a little longer is all we need to do!

There are many reasons as to why I should be picking bamboo clothing for all my basics but I’ll just list a few of my favourite points below:

“1. Kind to sensitive skin: Because of the smooth and round structure of its fibers, bamboo clothing is soft and non-irritating, even to sensitive skin.
2. Sustainable: Bamboo is naturally prolific and resilient. It grows to maturity in 3-4 years and once harvested, can replenish itself within a year. It does not require intensive irrigation and thrives without need of pesticides or fertilisers.
3. Eco Restorative: Growing Bamboo improves soil quality and helps rebuild eroded soil. It’s extensive root system prevents erosion, and retains water in the watershed.
4. 100% biodegradable: The Great Beyond clothing will simply return to the earth with minimal environmental Impact.”

I couldn’t help but pick a versatile black dress that I can wear all Summer long. It’s also great for Fall when the weather is starting to get a little cooler and you can begin to layer up! I chose to pair it with a bomber jacket, fedora and some hot heels to make the perfect dinner outfit!

What are your thoughts on bamboo clothing? All I can say is that I’m obsessed with bamboo sheets on my bed and soon to be bamboo clothes in my wardrobe.

With Love,
